Radio app that plays stations without ads getting in the way

This used to be one of the best apps for listening to radio stations, and I have been using it for many years. I never had an issue with advertisements when opening the app or changing channels, as that is understandable for a free service. Something has recently changed, and the app experience has significantly deteriorated. Two days ago, while I was on a phone call, the app unexpectedly started playing an advertisement on its own, forcing me to end the call. Then again, So Goodbye App.

It used to be good and I used it all the time. Now the ads have become intolerable. It used to be that you got ads occasionally, but only when you switched stations, and not very time when you switch stations. Then they made it play a block of thee ads EVERY TIME you switch stations, making browsing stations almost impossible. And now it sometimes plays ads WHEN YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF LISTENING TO A STATION, so you miss part of the show.

I used to love this app, would listen to foreign radio stations, and hear new music. Now, all you hear are ads. You turn it on, 2 minutes of ads, you don't like the song and change the station, 2 more minutes of ads, if you change again, another 2 minutes of ads. The number of ads is ridiculous. You should be allowed to browse at least a station or two before receiving another batch of ads. It's not worth it to use this app anymore. I'll find another.
