Nonprofit event registration with attendee history and reporting
We're a small nonprofit that runs a lot of events. Free monthly mixers (70 to 100 people), members-only events, and professional development events that are free/discounted for members and full price for non-members. Right now we use DonorBox because it's free and lets us set up each event separately. It works fine for registration and payments. The problem is attendance tracking. We can see who attended a single event and export that to Excel. What we can't do is pull up one person and see every event they've attended over time. And the bigger issue: DonorBox only credits the ticket purchaser. So if one person buys 5 tickets for their friends, we only see the buyer as an attendee. The other 5 people are invisible in our records. We want something that automatically ties attendance to each individual attendee, not just the purchaser, and rolls it into their profile. That way we can see how engaged each member and non-member is across events over time. We looked at Wild Apricot and it does what we need, but at our volume the pricing gets close to $400/month, which we can't do. For scale: 500 to 1,500 total contacts (members and non-members combined). Budget needs to be well under Wild Apricot. Open to either replacing DonorBox entirely or adding a tool alongside it. Anyone using something that handles this without breaking the bank? Would love real recommendations from people running similar event volume. Read more

Fellow non profiters, I'm looking to streamline a clunky manual process I inherited. We host a class 4-5 times per years that costs $. Currently people register through Google Forms, pay through Little Green Light, and then manual mayhem ensues. We're looking for a single source solution starting with whether or not Little Green Light can be it. But, do you have a software (not Salesforce) you use that satisfies these criteria: Registration and payment in one platform Registration cannot be completed without payment (non payment = abandoned) Once registered/paid automated email sent for confirmation Roster is pulled as a report rather than a manual spreadsheet Optional: reminder emails based on drip campaign Thanks! Hi all, I'm part of a small academic nonprofit that hosts an annual hybrid conference. Our attendance is usually around 1,000ish (with 90% being in person). We are looking for an mobile event app that is catered to the needs of an academic conference (speakers, sessions, personal schedules, venue maps, exhibit/sponsor features, attendee notifications, etc.). We don't need it for registration or hosting our virtual sessions. We’ve used Guidebook over the past couple years, and while they were solid, we're looking to see if there are comparable apps that offer better/more features and are easier to make live updates. Ideally we would like to have it integrated with Rhythm, our AMS, but finding that difficult in my limited research as Rhythm isn't widely used. We paid approximately $4k/year for Guidebook, and would be willing to increase our budget. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance! Read more
